Some more down!

Numbers 12, 32, 33 and 69 have been marked off the list! I am happy to say that I am now remembering to put the clothes in the washing machine before the wash cycle is finished washing! HA! Yes - I would find myself, multiple times, hearing the rinse cycle end, only to find an empty washer! Such a waste of so many things - time, money (water, laundry detergent and fabric softener), and electricity!

And, I am proud to announce that I actually get the dishes washed BEFORE the dish water gets cold! haha...Ah, the simple things in life.

We bought Joshua a new highchair about a week ago and I love it. It is so easy to clean. He is so cute in it!

Eleven (yes 11) items gone or in progress!

WOW! I am so amazed at how well this is going! I haven't blogged about each individually as I have done them, but at least I updated my blog about it! Isn't it truly amazing how you CAN and WILL accomplish things if you have made a note of them on paper? I am just dumbfounded over the whole process. Something so simple yet so effective!

So glad that John found my camera. I have been missing it like crazy and was contemplating buying a brand new one this weekend. Well, I don't have to worry about that anymore.

We did have dinner at my mom's. Well - it was Wendy's and the whole family was there so what can I say? haha

Other feel-good things were letting Jonathan win at Operation (yes, I know he is my son but I am such a competitive person- HA!) and letting John sleep in a few mornings. He appreciated that.

The true blessing is thanking God for his grace and daily blessings that He provides. This is one that I am very proud to be doing on a daily basis. Without Him we would be nothing and we would have nothing. So He is definitely worth this part of my daily routine. He is worth so much more though.

I am loving this list. I am loving what it is teaching me.

Number 4 is done, baby!

Okay, so I am just a tad bit excited about this one! We bought a flat screen TV but we opted to buy a stand with it instead of hanging it on the wall. We found one that we ABSOLUTELY LOVE! It is a 42" LG flat screen and it is AWESOME! I wish the stand would have been a bit cheaper but, nevertheless, we love it. So I guess you get what you pay for.

Hence, we first purchased a cheaper flat screen because we thought it was such a great deal! As soon as we got it home and turned it on - IT SUCKED! So we called the place back and told them it was horrible and we hated it. Needless to say, that call costed us an extra $400 almost! Yeah, we bought an even bigger one BUT the picture is awesome and we are so pleased about the choice!

So one down, 100 more to go....or more...lol

BTW - I did clean out the refrigerator yesterday...so that task for this week is gone too!

The Purpose of This Blog

THE MISSION:

Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days!

THE CRITERIA:

Tasks must be specific (no ambiguity in the wording) *pauses to go look up the word ambiguity* AH-HA! - with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (i.e. represent some amount of work on my part).

WHY 1001 DAYS?

Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination (*sighs* I surely didn't have to look that word up) is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 days (roughly 2.75 years) is a better period of time than one year because it allows several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as oversea trips or outdoor activities.

WHY I WANT TO DO THIS?

Several of my friends on a forum, BeckleyMommies.com, is doing it and I would love to set some goals and "actually" follow through with them!
